Seven Years of Correspondence

On April 10th we hosted Mariana Pinheiro’s exhibition “Seven Years of Correspondence” where she recovers, restores and retraces the results of a creative process which began in the form of postcards addressed to a lover far away. Surviving the absence of an addressee, the process mutated into a solitary but vital exercise in emotional metabolism.

Mariana is a plastic artist and mural painter who claims to be an old soul. She was born in the year 2000 and she is serious collector of stamps and postcards. She goes birdwatching regularly, and has turned these passions into a series of beautiful bird gouache illustrations on the back of old postcards.

Surrounded by birds and friends the artist’s reception was a beautiful moment! Most of the pieces showcased are already sold and migrated around the world but Mariana continues her creative exercise so you can find the available “correspondence birds as well as hand painted bird houses ” in our shop.
