Nim, the artistic name of Teresa Castanheira, belongs to the artists' collective of the Cooperativa / Galeria Diferença and has participated, since 1999, in collective and individual exhibitions, both in Portugal (Galeria Diferença, SNBA, Galeria Novo Século, Galeria São Mamede, and the Biennials of Douro, Coruche, and Montijo) and abroad (Barcelona, Paris, and Macau). Her work has been published by the Centro Português de Serigrafia in a collection of twenty-six prints (2024, 2019, 2017, 2015, and 2013).

With a degree in Musicology from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, she is a teacher of Music History and History of Culture and the Arts at the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional. She has collaborated with various media outlets – Antena 2, TSF, and SIC –, with a particular emphasis on the weekly newspaper Expresso, as a music critic from 1998 to 2006.

She published the books Colors & Sounds, a Dialogue between 20th-Century Painting and Music and History of Music, an Introduction.
