Cláudia Baeta

Scientific Illustration

Cláudia Baeta was born in Lisbon in 1970. She is a graphic designer and a Scientific Illustrator. It is through drawing that she has the opportunity of working in science communication and awareness projects. She has illustrated the Portuguese Fresh Water Fish Field Guide (Guia dos Peixes de Água Doce e Migradores de Portugal Continental), edited in 2021. She is currently illustrating the Fresh Water Fish from Spain (Carta Piscícola Espanhola). She is part of Grupo do Risco, a collective of artists and scientists that draw and photograph during expeditions to natural reserves and protected areas.
